FROM THE BACK OFFICE TO THE FRONT OFFICE

2008 birth, Austin Brekelmans makes his CHS debut this year after working camp last year. Austin, a native of Strathroy, Ontario played U16 AAA for the Elgin Middlesex Canucks in the Alliance. Austin was also an affiliate player of the U18 AAA program in Elgin, as well as the Strathroy Rockets of the GOJHL. The solid two way forward, and 7th round draft pick of North Bay in the OHL’s Priority Selection, will play next season at Culver Military Academy in Culver Indiana. Outside of the rink, Austin enjoys working out and mountain biking.

Austin comes from strong hockey lineage as his father Cory (OHL, Sarnia/Sudbury ’00) and uncles Chris (Clarkson ’06) and Curtis (GOJHL, Strathroy ’06) have all played an important role in his interest to pursue his dreams of playing professional hockey.
